Growing with grief is a space to support both our personal and collective experiences of grief.
You are warmly invited to an evening of gentle movement, breathing techniques to self soothe, and to be held in community.
Whether you're going through a recent loss, grieving something in the past, or need a reminder to take care of yourself, you are welcome here.
At a time when festivities are high, and the speed in which we move goes beyond what we’d ever consider nourishing, this is a gift for you to seek out the softness. To be in the now of your experience.
We will be moving slowly and holding postures while lengthening breath to deepen into presence. Going through the body to bring the mind to ease. Allowing emotion and feeling to express as and how it wants to. Through a guided meditation I'll help you locate the little pockets of support that are always present for you. And there will be time to join some reflective writing over a warm tea if you'd like to.
How the evening will look:
Slow flow yoga
Grounding breath work
Guided meditation
Optional writing practice
Tea and space to relax or connect
I'd like to remind you that I am not a therapist or psychologist, but I am drawing from my own experience of grief and sharing techniques that have helped me process and feel the intensities of it all.
We will meet at the beautiful Soma hŌme and find solace in the company of others who understand.
This event is open to all levels of ability, please click the link below for more information and booking.
